On to another engagement!

Kate and Stu had their engagement party yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect going in. I had spent Saturday cooking up some food to add to the collection. Auntie Carol managed to pull off four baked yummies. Man was it hot in that kitchen after! I decided to go for the non-cooked variety. And for all my dear friends in Tbay that are reading this I DID NOT make my pasta salad!

I made cheesy rollups. Which I panicked about cause I didn't think they would stay together when I cut them up. (They did and were by far the most popular of what I made) I also made Japanese (Ichiban) salad, paremesan bites and taco dip. I had never made the paremesan bites before but they turned out really yummy!

Fran had TONS of food! She had got 3 meat trays for the occasion and the guests barely touched the one! She ended up sending Kate's sister Ann home with one and Stu took the other to work the next day. She also made chocolate covered strawberries my absolute favourite and Stuart made truffles! I was in dessert heaven I tell you. Everytime I walked into the kitchen I grabbed a truffle. YUMMY!

I got some great pictures of the event which you can view here I managed to get one of all the bridesmaids. I figure it will be fun to look through this engagement/wedding album in 20 years from now and see how great we all used to look. I had a great visit with Joe and Lisa and Anna and Frances. We made some future plans for get togethers. Kate and I might even have more scrapbookers to scrap with!

I'm still hoping to go to Stratford this year. I really want to see the Shakespeare plays they are doing. Plus I think it would be fun just to see Stratford. I'm hoping we'll still do the Niagara on the Lake thing for the long-week-end though!
